The Thayer Hotel is located in an unbeatable spot, right inside the gate at US Military Academy at West Point, overlooking the Hudson River. The rooms are well-appointed but slightly small, lacking space for luggage stands. The service was top-notch with everyone from the front desk to the restaurant staff showing genuine interest in our comfort. The location couldn't be better for those visiting West Point, ensuring a memorable stay. However, the dining experience was a bit of a letdown, especially at MacArthur's Riverview Restaurant, after Thanksgiving. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor hiccups.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very nice with a great view, clean, and though somewhat outdated, they were perfect for a short visit or if you won't spend much time inside. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and professional, even arranging a van for our trip to the church. While the dining options were good, the halal products could have been more varied. The location is simply beautiful and convenient for exploring the local attractions, especially for history buffs visiting the Gen's area, but it can be a bit challenging to access due to security checks. The facilities were awesome, particularly enjoying their Sunday brunch and the classic elegance throughout the property.
